Day 1: VILNIUS (10 km)
Arrival to Vilnius airport/railway/coach terminal and transfer to your hotel. Your guide welcomes you on a sightseeing tour of the Lithuanian capital featuring the stunning landmarks of the UNESCO-listed Old Town. Sights include the Gates of Dawn, Castle Street, Town Hall and the Cathedral. You will have time to explore the old Jewish quarter and spend the evening discovering city’s buzzing restaurants and bars.
Day 2: VILNIUS TO RIGA VIA TRAKAI & RUNDALE (390 km)
This morning, after a brief tour of Vilnius’s New Town area, you will be heading to Lithuania’s medieval capital, Trakai, surrounded by over 15 glacier era lakes. A beautiful 15th century red brick castle on a lake island will get you familiarised with country’s medieval heritage. You will have time to enjoy a drink with a lake view. The day extends with a scenic drive towards Latvia, heading up further north. Upon entering another Baltic country we will stop at the Rundale Palace, a baroque masterpiece shaped by Hermitage’s architect Rastrelli. A nice tour of palace’s interiors and a glimpse to the rose garden. You will arrive to the busy Latvian capital in the evening hours. Be sure to have an evening walk around the beautiful old town.
Day 3: RIGA TO TALLINN VIA PARNU (330 km)
The tour of Riga this morning includes a walk around the Hanseatic old town without missing the Dome Cathedral, cozy squares and narrow streets as well as the Gunpowder Tower, the National Opera and the Freedom Monument. You will also explore the unique Art Nouveau area with over 800 impressive facades. After the lunch break you will head to Tallinn taking the Baltic coastal highway. Before immersing into Estonia’s fairytale-like capital, you will stop in Parnu, a coastal town famous for its old town and sandy beach. The evening in Tallinn offers top-class dining and funky vibes at local bars.
Day 4: TALLINN (10 km)
A morning tour of Tallinn will surely answer why you have travelled this far to see the city. The amazing old town has been wonderfully preserved with defensive walls, towers, merchant houses and tall churches. After the tour you will be transferred to Tallinn’s airport/railway/coach terminal for a safe trip back home or beyond.
